For those senior members needing to attend Squadron Leadership School (required
for Level II completion) or Corporate Learning Course (required for Level III
completion), here is an opportunity to complete the course in SD Wing next
weekend. Travel to the course would be on your own.

FYI, ND Wing will be hosting a Squadron Leadership School here in Minot in
December. The tentative dates are 15-16 December, but a location has not been
confirmed for that weekend. We will not have a Corporate Learning Course this
year. The SLS class is free and runs from 8-5 (plus evening social) on Saturday
and 10-3 on Sunday.

 Those wishing to complete Level II need the SLS ( Squadron Leadership School )
  This is the brand new course and it will be the first time offered in SD  
Plan to be there!!!

 Squadron Commanders:  Please get the word out to all your members who need
this course

Please consider teaching part of this course if you have completed it and need
to fill that square!

Those wishing to complete level III need the CLC (Corporate Learning Course)
This course takes you into the Wing, Region and National level of the program

 This weekend also has the Check Pilot Course going on--so lots of
opportunities for everyone.

 We will be working on billeting issues and will have more on that later.

Magic City CAP members,

The North Dakota Wing will be hosting a search and rescue 
exercise (SAREX) in Jamestown this Saturday, 27 October.  All 
CAP officers and cadets who have completed General Emergency 
Services (GES) training are encouraged to attend.  I expect 
we'll have plenty of room available in the aircraft for all who 
are able to go.  As of now, the CAP van is not scheduled to 
go.  I expect to depart around 0645 Saturday morning and return 
sometime around 1830 that evening.

This event will include both aircrew and ground team training 
and is a make-up for the exercise postponed due to weather a 
few weeks ago.  If you have any questions about the exercise or 
your qualification to attend, please contact me directly.

Please reply via email (nd021do at srt.com) or phone (240-3942) at 
your earliest convenience, but not later than noon on Friday, 
to confirm your attendance so I may arrange our travel 
assignments.
